Human Contact Project

Much like digital art isn’t “lazy” art because it doesn’t involve physical canvas and brushes, words sent via electronic devices haven’t lost their potency. We’ve just simply found a faster way to communicate our deeply felt messages. In this time obsessed, technology saturated culture we live in we see the result of the words we say on a screen and not the actions behind them.

In this project, I hope to show the manifestation of our words as we’re swiping across our various screens. Our words and intentions mean something even as technology becomes more demonized and written off as impersonal.

The trails represent finger movements across a keyboard and how we build these sentences, be they short or long, that mean so much to us and our recipients.
